                                                    WE ARE PURPOSE-DRIVEN

Every church is driven by something . . .

                                                    Picture
Grace Community Church is a purpose-driven church. Our vision is to fulfill the five biblical purposes of a New Testament church. Those five purposes are: fellowship, discipleship, ministries, missions, and worship. To find out more about each purpose, use the drop down menu above under "Our Purposes."

                                                    About Us
Grace Community Church is a 13-year-old church plant.
In the Beginning:  On a Sunday in March of 1998, around 90 Christians crammed into a home to begin praying about starting a new interdenominational, community church. The group decided to pray for God's direction during the month of March. And the people prayed!

The next two Sundays the group met at the Sally Port Inn. Were they ever surprised when over 200 people showed up. And the people prayed! For the next two Sundays the group met at the Roswell Civic Center. Each week new people came to see what was happening. And the people prayed!

The Growing Years: At the end of the month of prayer, over 200 people said, "Yes, let's start a new church!" The church voted to call the new church "Grace Community Church". During the next month people were invited to become charter members. At the end of the month, 412 people signed the official document as Charter Members. Since that time, new people have continued to come and join Grace Community Church. And the people prayed!

We moved into our current facility in 2003 and added a metal, temporary Student Ministries building shortly thereafter. We currently average about 1,000 students and adults in two services each Sunday. With the continued growth of our Children's Ministries, we added a Childen's Ministries building in 2008 that continuously serves 250+ children during the Sunday morning services.

Where we're going: This is the history of Grace Community Church to this point. In case you are wondering, the people are still praying. They are praying for you! They are praying that you will want to become part of their history, too!
