1 - What do I need to do to be saved?
2 - Can God really save someone like me?
People often ask questions like these when they think about their salvation. Perhaps a better question to ask is, How does Jesus save?
The Reformers of the 1500's summarized the answer to all these questions with a now-famous statement: Salvation is found in Christ alone by grace alone through faith alone. This will be the theme of our Christmas sermon series, ASavior is Born. Each Sunday during Advent we will dig deep into these three great truths: In Christ Alone; By Grace Alone; Through Faith Alone.
Christmas is a time when we remember and celebrate God's gift of salvation. God's angel famously announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds, "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you: he is Christ the Lord."
Jesus is the Savior, but how does he save?
