To ponder one's purpose is not an inconsequential, fanciful question for philosophers in academic halls. It's the reason you get up in the morning, brings power to your decisions, and sets the course of your life. 

To misunderstand one's purpose is to waste one's life.

You will fulfill your purpose at Grace! Worship is the heartbeat of our church. Every Sunday hundreds of people gather at one of two morning services led by gifted musicians. However, worship is more than just Christian karaoke! Genuine worship involves loving God with our entire lives – 24/7. It’s a daily experience that culminates in our Sunday celebrations together as God’s family!

WORSHIP & MUSIC MINISTRIES

Welcome to the Grace Community Church Magnification Ministry!  The many leaders and participants of this ministry wish to express their sincere appreciation for your interest and hopeful participation. God’s desire (and ours) is to see you grow in your ministry and in your Christian walk.  But before we move any further into this page, we want you to know that your personal worship health is extremely important to us.  The 501 leadership teams and ministry teams pray for the corporate body, and therefore you, that we would all be growing in our personal worship.  Not only do we aspire to bless the Lord and to lead the church into His presence, but we also want to equip you with tools to worship Him on your own, throughout the week.  

  • Make scripture reading & prayer a daily part of your life.  Anything that you do daily, you improve on.  Spending time with God on a daily basis is a prerequisite for being a good worshiper. This should include daily time in the Bible. I would suggest that you read a Psalm and a Proverb every day.  

  • Understand how to worship.  Psalms 100:4 says, "I will enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise." God likes it when we come before Him with singing.  When we sing songs that talk directly to God we are beginning the progression toward worshipping Him.  This helps everyone focus on why they really came to church in the first place, that is to meet God.  That is a relationship worth having!  

  • Have personal worship times.  Find your own space and sing some songs to God!  There are great worship bands out there, called and anointed by God to lead His people into worship. God is birthing great songs around the world. There has never been a better time to learn worship songs.  Find the songs that God’s Spirit is resting on and that will bless you in your time of need. Listen to his Holy Spirit!

GET INVOLVED

There is a place for you in the Music & Worship Ministry here at GCC! Whether you sing, play an instrument, love to serve others or enjoy the technical side of a church service, you'll find a multitude of opportunities to use your gifts for the Lord here at Grace Community Church.

  • GRACE CHOIR

    • Every August, January and prior to Easter and Christmas, the Choir invites new members to join.  If the person wishing to join choir has little or no musical experience or knowledge, recommendations will be made based on what is best for that individual and the choir as a whole. We want you to be a part of our joyful choir!

    • The Grace Worship Choir meets from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm every Wednesday during the school year.  Childcare is available during rehearsals.  Fall semester calendar is from August through Christmas and the Winter/Spring calendar is from January through Easter.  Breaks in the choir calendar agree with the school calendar (i.e., holidays, Spring Break, summer, etc.).  In addition to leading the congregation in music at least once a month, Grace Choir presents special music for Easter and Christmas.

  • WORSHIP TEAM/PRAISE BAND

    • We stand before the congregation locking arms to come both humbly and boldly into God's presence, realizing that every word we sing and every note we play honors Jesus.  When we sing and play, it is not to impress, but to inspire and change hearts. Our joint audience is God Himself.  We sing mostly contemporary music.  We understand our calling and are passionate about fulfilling it!

    • The Music and Worship Ministry at Grace offers vocal, instrumental and technical opportunities for high-school youth and adults.  Our purpose is to utilize our God-given talents to promote the Word of God in a unique, creative and inspiring manner.  If interested in joining this ministry please contact our Worship Pastor, Kenny Lewis (klewis@roswellgrace.com) or you can leave a message at 575-623-5438 ext. 110.

  • MEDIA MINISTRY

    •  The Media Ministry supports worship services and most major events here at Grace by providing video, graphic, lighting, and audio technical aid.  For the person interested in the "techie" side of ministry, this is an ideal place in which to serve.  Contact Richard Jolley or Lillian Nyhoff at (575) 623-5438.
